The artwork consists of a mounted bust (purchased) surrounded by a self-constructed and perforated MDF oblong box. The bust is toplit from within the box by an amber halogen spotlight.
The bust is of an unknown young woman who (possibly) drowned in the River Seine in Paris. It was used as a model for the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation doll 'Resusci Annie'.
