Paul Digby

Leeds
The artist Paul Digby works with various materials, methods and processes in Sculpture, Painting and Drawing referencing Art, Science and Religion.

Paul works in part to the premise his practice is a result of a concept and the materials are specific to this initial idea, and narrative. Paul contrasts this with how the body expresses emotion and represents the Self. He further explores how narrative shapes our everyday lives through the meanings we attribute to objects.

Paul has collaborated with a series of non-arts institutions (e.g. police, high secure hospitals, paramedics, high secure hospitals, hospitals, social services etc.) and responded as an Artist to this Stimuli. Paul collaborates with the people that work and live in these buildings, and institutions and observes how people transcend their physical spaces in to a greater narrative.

Paul graduated in 1997 from Norwich University College of the Arts and the University of Leeds in 2002.

Paul lives in Leeds with his wife and two children.
