A dream of distance between light and dark

Religious reliquaries (a wooden shrine, a prayer stool, candle stands) were used in this site-specific installation, located in a catholic church. Votive candles were lit during the exhibition to create shadows of the objects onto fine cotton voile, suspended from the ceiling. Dyed rice were meticulously adhered to the space of the shadows, reminiscent of organic patterns.
