One of a series of collages based on layout plans of ancient Persian gardens that are now demolished. The walled, four-quartered gardens were created as earthly evocations of paradise. The collages use found images and vegetal designs that contrast with the formal structures of the gardens. The title is a paraphrase from Omar Khayam's Rubba'iyat, "a thousand blossoms with the day woke - and a thousand scatter'd into clay."
