A Tithe of Teasels

By Gillian Widden 2015
Fuller's teasels threaded on to wire and dyed back using Indian ink. The basket is then filled with a bushel's worth of teasels. In Somerset, historical records show that Fuller's teasels were sometimes used to pay tithes. Gather-ing Commission for Somerset Art Works and the Somerset National Trust for site specific work at Stoke Sub Hamdon Priory, Somerset. Curated by Craftspace.
