Alignments III

Painting, 2016. 90 x 90 cm. Acrylic and graphite on canvas. This landscape painting takes textures and marks from rock strata along the coastline where I live and transforms a small part of that geology into a much larger universal landscape as viewed from above. The traditional linear perspective of a landscape painting is changed to an aerial perspective creating a greater sense of belonging.
