Alter Ego Series

I consciously assume various guises in order to navigate the social norms of my communities. Alter Ego I addresses my art-world persona; the guise I don in order to feel confident enough to interact at events such as art openings. The second piece, Alter Ego II, is a video in which the knitted mask slowly unravels revealing my face; it is about my uncertainty over how much of myself to reveal.
