Subject matter references marks man has made and how they are both absorbed into but stand out from the desolate environment, distorting the sense of place. The basis of the image involves issues of exploring the absorbtion and artificiality which occur. Mixed media painting on paper incorporating gestural mark making with use of layered techniques, water colour paint, acrylic ink and chalk pastel.
