Stone sculpture for Worle Magistrates Court. The gap in the stone aligns to the setting sun on 21st October which is apple day. This refers to an old tradition of dividing up allotments by carving symbols on apples and throwing them as far as you could. The paving includes lines of blue lias stone set into the paving alluding to the allotments and also the rhynes that passed through the site. At each junction is a small bronze round-el with the symbols carved onto them.
