Arcadia

A commissioned work for Hetercombe House Taunton. Focusing on specific periods of history and their inside/outside relationships. Patrick Lowry has been drawn to the ‘Arcadian’ paintings of C. W. Bampfylde that once again inhabit the house. His installation endeavours to bring together aspects of Hestercombe, the garden, the painting, and the interior, in a way that re-focuses attention on the romantic illusion of Arcadia.
