Arlington House Wall Piece Sharon Campbell and Lauren Sagar

Sharon Campbell along with Lauren Sagar won the commission from One Group Housing to produce a signature artwork for the reception area of the newly redeveloped Victorian building, Arlington House, in Camden, London. Arlington is a social enterprise working around homelessness, comprising a conference centre, housing, and hosting other social enterprises such as City Dining, SPACE and Userfarm. The Arlington commission uses dichroic glass and gold leaf in hues reminiscent of a sunset; pinks, golds, pearls and pale blues. A series of circular discs linked by a ribbon-like tracery of gold skimming across the heights of the reception area: aiming to embue this busy space with a sense of harmony, invigoration and intimacy. "Sagar and Campbell won through stiff competition to be awarded our public art commission and created an installation in glass that is both stunning in its own right and in the way in which it complements and adds to our design objective of a signature reception area that helps define our building and the aspiration it represents."
