Arrangement (1)

This playful trio comes from a time when this practice was moving away from handwriting and towards a more rigid sliced set of shapes. The fluid nature of the lines were being restricted, or distorted by the invasive lines that crossed over them; it was the meeting of sounds, a conversation on paper. While initially this set was an exploration towards texture in art, it touched the use of pastels and the notion of placement more firmly. The 90s-esque shapes and colour take me back to a time of play; a time of single digits, of dance and new sounds.
