Balance

This work is made in a scientific balance. On one side of the balance a quail's egg is suspended above the metal spikes of an old flower arranger. On the other side a bundle of labels, printed with archive family photographs and extracts from a family tree, is suspended above a dark blue velvet cushion. The floor of the balance is printed with an extract from a family tree. The glass of sides of the balance have been sandblasted with images of keys.
