Beasley's Field

By  Ange Mullins 2024

Screenprint on paper.

This piece is from a series of six screenprints made in response to the heady days of late summer and the agricultural harvest taking place near my home. Commercial harvests result in significant environmental impact and the prints represent three fields I regularly visited during that time. Three of the prints were pulled using handmade natural inks, and three similar prints using regular printmaking inks, done as a way of exploring the impact of a toxic printmaking practice versus a natural inks printmaking process in correlation to the agricultural processes taking place.
