being on the line for 800 paces - Book 2

‘wandering in the margins beyond the edges of the text where there is nothing I began to understand that an end is only a beginning’ For more than a year, I have been walking the same 800 paces along a concrete promenade, observing the rhythms of the sea and its effects against a solid (safe) edge. Book 2 retraces those same 800 paces back to 0. Made with gestures that echo those of the sea, where I have little or no control, the most successful drawings are still those that made themselves.
