Beings

I’m interested in how the familiar can become unfamiliar, and the unfamiliar become familiar. In my paintings, recognisable forms and fragments of landscape shift and dissolve, creating places that feel both known and strangely new.

I work through layers, scraping, erasing and rebuilding the surface, allowing unexpected forms to emerge. For me, the painting sits somewhere between memory and imagination—a place where what I know can be transformed into something I’ve never seen before.
