Better Safe than Sorry

By  Karen Brett 2011

Dimensions
24" x 24"

The series of images deal with domestic abuse and its aftermath. The project aims to show the emotions experienced by both women and children whilst staying in a safe house. The overall body of work presents a subtle but powerful representation of the effects of physical and mental abuse. However, the anonymity of the subjects in this work is an important element within the project due to the confidential implications of the subject matter.
