'Big Draw National Campaign for Drawing' events

Drawing is a major part of my arts practice and participating in the 'Big Draw' national campaign for drawing has been rewarding. The video shows my first Big Draw public engagement drawing, portraits of Picasso with feet and elbows on a cool, blustery day! Many children engaged enthusiastically with the activity, drawing with left and right hands and feet. I have been commissioned on the following Big Draw events by Client Lichfield District Council : - Foot-drawing work 'Limits' (2014) and activity 'NOKYORSOXOFF' at Three Spires Shopping Centre, Lichfield. and foot-drawing workshops at Gentleshaw Primary School, Lichfield -Drawing on trains (2007) Chasewater Railways Stafford; and workshops at Highfields Primary School, Burntwood -Drawing portraits of Picasso with elbows and feet at Three Spire Shopping Centre, Lichfield (2005) The public engagement involved working in town centres and recreational spaces as well as in schools, inspiring children and people of all ages to participate and draw in various ways with their limbs.

Drawing, Cognition and the Human Biped - Collaboration with University of Birmingham

This drawing was created live over four days through August 2012 and is part of an ongoing series titled 'Limits'. begun in 2011 at the Folkestone Triennial Fringe Festival. The process was to stand on the paper and draw using both feet, overall the drawing took around 12 hours. The fun part was meeting the locals in the hustle and bustle of the market nearby and in some cases creating portraits of them as they looked down at the work. The work was video documented.
