Quilts, mud, clay, wire fencing, wire thread - the work involved several durational performances over two days. The first was a continuation of making, where I rubbed collected mud and clay into quilts with a scrubbing action and hand sewed the material together with wire thread. At the site of production, I concealed myself under the fabric, activating the sculpture or prop. With no vision, I then maneuvered the weight of the work over the gravel and greenery outside. The third performance lasted an hour whereby inside the wet, mudded fabric, I crawled into, around and out of the gallery space; trails of my path remained on the ground. Returning with a mop, I proceeded to clean up the gallery as a continuation of the performance. Roles were switched from maker, to 'thing' to cleaner.
