Box Room

The carefully balanced sculptural assemblage, of bright coloured dolls house furniture, is playfully precarious on the one hand. On the other, it appears to court disaster, a portend that something bad is about to happen or is it the consequence of a catastrophic event?
The space described by the brightly coloured dolls house furniture equates to an 8 ft square ‘box room’ at full scale. The piece invites a variety of possible readings from our relationship with storage and living space to the pressures and vulnerabilities of social housing.
