Breathing Space

By  Aidan Moesby 2022

Breathing Space (i)’ Public Sculpture for Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust. Corten Steel, 2022. Commissioned by Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. An invitation to rest, consider what is important, reflect and ‘take a breather’. Parenthesis were used by Shakespeare to draw attention to important elements in his works. Also the similarities in plague and climate crisis then and now. Trees are the lungs of the Earth and many transformative things happened in the woods in Shakespeare.
