Building Walden 2014 by Simon Beeson at ArtSway, Sway, Hampshire SO41 6BA Exhibition open 16-25th August 2014 10am-6pm (Saturdays to 8pm) Every nail driven should be as another rivet in the machine of the universe, you carry on the work. Henry David Thoreau, “Walden”, 1854 Building Walden an exhibition of works by architect/artist Simon Beeson, inspired by the small hut built by Henry David Thoreau in 1845, and the waste materials from remodelling a house in Sway: small acts of construction and play. Includes an installation "Building Building Walden", elements of play, co-created works (Building Walden 2013) and a new co-created work added to by visitors. Also on show are some "threshold" reliefs; hand held contemporary medals (plaster casts).
