Large bumble bee created entirely from recycled materials - hundreds of plastic bags held together by a wire armature base. Bees are now a rare sight in British gardens. I decided to construct a large bumble bee from a material that as a society we have a huge amount of. I hope the piece which will be placed at the London Wetlands Centre as part of the London Recycled Sculpture show will stimulate a discussion around the rarity of the insect and the huge amount of waste plastc material in our society.
