Burbage

Inspired by the dramatic Yorkshire / Derbyshire landscape that lies at the foot of the city of Sheffield I have attempted to transmit the physicality of this rugged terrain with it's textures, smells and atmosphere using a bold and textural treatment of oil paint whilst maintaining some formal qualities of landscape painting.
