Cascade presents a collection of altered books adorning a library bookshelf, inviting the viewer to question the role and function of books in the digital age and during a time (2012) of potential library closures in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. 2013 represents an important period in the North East of England, as the Lindisfarne Gospels, the 'first' of many artist's books returns to Durham for a short period for public viewing at Palace Green.
