Chigüires Pacientes

🌴 moving casually to a different creature, the capybara is a stoic little creature that we call colloquially in Venezuela 'chigüire' (pronounced shi-goo-ee-reh). i was just interested in what a surrealists and palette limited depiction of the creature could look like.

✨ they move in groups, protect each other, raise young collectively. because they are amphibious creatures (neither fully land nor water) they are naturally between worlds. they spend a lot of time resting, grazing, soaking. even tho they are prey animals, they are not frantic and hold a collective vigilance for any threats.
