Chione's Torment 2

 ‘Chione’s Torment 2’ evolved from thoughts, feelings and research around the pernicious demise of frozen landscapes. The lifeblood of our planet, they are under attack from human exacerbated atmospheric warming. I bring this existential struggle to life in paint as hot vying with cold, piercing and insidious. By making this imperceptible reality visible, it becomes catalyst for dialogue. In Greek Mythology, Chione is goddess of snow and the north wind.
