The dawn of domestic TV, the first UK atomic bomb test, a child''''s birthday celebration, conjure images of unease in the 50s decade of advancing technology. Painted in oil on canvas. using trompe l"oeil genre style.

Oils on Fabric on Canvas. A monochromatic re-working of photographic image. The focusing and dissolving pattern is intended to work as a visual metaphor for distant and half remembered images. The Blue of the fabric evokes the seaside atmosphere of a windy day in Whitby, Yorkshire.
