‘colour, form, reflection and absorption #4’

Gary James Williams

bas relief: acrylic on plywood & MDF board. 61.5 x 46.5 x 3cm 2016. In the series ‘colour, form, reflection and absorption’, space is defined, re-defined and re-invented. Leaning upon a void beyond familiar semiotics, depth and relief make the process of approach and application tangible. From what was once discarded, the remains of any original intentions are recycled and re-appropriated, realising the immediacy of a previously unseen creative potential as a work of uniqueness and authenticity.
