Colour Register #1 - #10 This is a series of works produced in response to the life of Joseph Swan, physicist, mathmetictian and inventor of the light bulb . Clewlow retraced and recorded journeys Swan would have taken in the North East, living and working in Newcastle and Sunderland. Photographs and notes documented the process and colour swatches were taken from each one. These colours were grouped and matched to create this series of paintings
