Compass chair

Referencing the Silk Road. Chair with embedded compass. Celebrating ideas and inventions that travelled in opposite directions - the chair from west to east, the magnetic compass from east to west. Compass chair was installed in the exhibition Nomadic Party, ARKO arts centre Seoul, South Korea. Readers of the book Dreaming in Different Languages, a collection of dream transcripts from around the world, were invited to sit on the chair while reading the dreams.
