Confluence

By Simon Warner 2012
Appledore, North Devon from across the Torridge estuary. Confluence was an art-science project with 4 artists, investigating the use of remote data recorders for environmental monitoring. My work also focussed on the cultural history of the area, and this image is from a short film returning Thomas Girtin's 1798 watercolour view of Appledore to the site where it was sketched.
