Cover Me: Ocean

This is one of many drawings which experiment with different materials and their properties in regard to a series of different papers. The images are also searching for a voice and range over many influences - from Mayan codexes to images of war found in newspapers. How does paper shrivel under wet ink? does acrylic sit on the surface or move through to the other side? - on this paper or that paper? are just simple examples of curiosity and play and of the mind sorting and planning towards the final Cover Me Series, which in itself evolved as it unfolded over a couple of years.
