Cracking is a play on words. It refers to the process of refining crude oil into hydrocarbons. It also eludes to something that succumbs to pressure. Cracking questions the efficacy and morality of burning hydrocarbons for energy and in particular of consigning staggering quantities of grain for the production of bio-fuel.
