Days of my life

By Pip Woolf 2017 - 2018

Days of my life ( 27.10.1954 - 02.06.2014) detail Created 2017/18 Fugitive colour & casein treated tissue sewn with linen. 21,000 pieces of paper each approximately 120x200mm , hand sized standing for the days of my life between these dates, the first marks my birth the second the death of my mother. The process of making this work allowed memory to surface , stored experiences whilst at the same time  recognition of the temporary nature of life. One experience both informing and obscuring another.

My materials ,the tissue, casein and fugitive colours held by linen thread each provide extension to the memories.
