Delhi and Dresden - Artist International Development Fund

Between March and May 2016 I visited Dresden and Delhi under the 'Artist International Development Fund'. This trip has been an amazing opportunity to push my practice into the first steps of international working. With thanks to the British Council and Arts Council of England for making it happen and supporting me. The aims of my project were to raise to an international level two previous projects. To realise Part 2 of ‘Bombed- A Moonlight Sonata’, in Dresden. Part 1 was an installation and performance at Herbert Gallery, Coventry (2011), that reflected the WW2 blitz. ‘Part 2’ would be from Dresden’s viewpoint, counter-bombed by Britain. In Delhi I presented foot-drawing workshops following an invitation from the Principal of Shiv Nadar School in Gurgaon, New Delhi - a series of nine exhausting, challenging, and most rewarding workshops with enthusiastic pupils. I also made contact with galleries in Delhi for future exhibition.

Sculpture 'Bend To Become' selected for West Midlands Open Exhibition 2014 at Birmingham Museum and

This drawing was created live over four days through August 2012 and is part of an ongoing series titled 'Limits'. begun in 2011 at the Folkestone Triennial Fringe Festival. The process was to stand on the paper and draw using both feet, overall the drawing took around 12 hours. The fun part was meeting the locals in the hustle and bustle of the market nearby and in some cases creating portraits of them as they looked down at the work. The work was video documented.
