Dimensions
‘Deluge’ 40 x 120 x 2cm set away from the wall. ‘Gertie’ 75 x 55 x 40cm. Stand 120cm high, base 12cm diameter.
‘Deluge’. Made from 100 year old rusted Dutch barge steel with rivet holes, flax, home-spun yarn.
‘Gertie softened my bones’. Made from trolley fragment, homespun yarn, scrapyard steel with a stand made from scrapyard steel.
Gertie was my Mother's Shetland sheep, I still have a 20yr old 'Gertie' jumper. An exploration of remembering, shared practice and loss.
