‘Dorset Periphery’ develops a two-dimensional diagrammatic representation of the county border into an imaginary three-dimensional form. A slow, intensive & intricate use of graphite, carefully applied and also erased, gradually evolved into an image resembling a receptacle, suggesting a repository of both complex geological time and cultural layering. This drawing is included in the Dorset Visual Arts publication 'Drawing on Dorset'.
