Dream Inventory - May 2001

'Dream inventory - May 2001' is part of an ongoing series of paintings in which objects from my dreams are removed from their original narrative context and given an iconic, symbolic quality. In one painting for each month, I select the one or two most significant objects from each nights dreaming and place them in chronological order in a grid composition. The objects are painted in monochrome, unless remembered in a specific colour.
