Edifice and artifice; serving the genteel

This piece was made for an exhibition at the old Spode ceramics factory in Stoke. It is made of split bamboo and folded paper napkins It is a response to the Spode context and alludes both to the skills and the service of the employees as well as to their aspirational customers.
