Egg Head and Face

Heather Eastes

Dimensions
28cm x 24cm

A theme in my work is the humpty figure, the fallen, fragile being, or the Kopf-Fuessler, as it is known in Germany. It feels like something in our psychology from the dawn of consciousness. I remember the medieval creature, just a stomach with a face and arms and legs.It is often the way children depict the figure, the importance of the subject being in the head. This work has taken off independently on sites like Pinterest and Tumblr. It's fun to meet it again every now and then.
