Oil and acrylic on canvas, 2012.
The burned out 1930s building on the corner of Tottenham High Road, destroyed during the summer of riots in London 2011, became emblematic of a country lurching into chaos and disorder following the 2008 financial crisis and cuts to public services.
This painting is one of two selected for the New Lights exhibition in 2013 where was displayed at the Mercer Gallery, Harrogate and the Biscuit Factory, Newcastle.
