Enriched Envelopments (2-D Wrapper)

This two-dimensional textile exhibit forms part of a series inspired from an initial collage of postal ephemera. It references the Japanese art of Furoshiki, creating a range of decorative external wrappers. It was created using free-machine and hand embroidery and expresses a playful and uplifting way to present gifts.
