Entanglements
Wood Panel (Lightweight Birchwood 2cm deep ready to hang no frame needed), Dried Leaves, Threads, Ink, Pastel, Acrylic, and Oil
Influenced by ecology and my “Field Trip” with scientists to Crowden Brook to explore freshwater organisms and their environment, the painting consequently explores how everything is interconnected and equally important: entangled with each other. To illustrate human strife with nature, remnants of plastic clingfilm were left on the painting surface to refer to our complicated ecological relationship with the natural environment.
