Full size replica of the entrance to an escalator

Installation in Plan 9 gallery Bristol - MDF, acrylic, aluminium, tarpaulin, safety cones.

Pre-dating ‘Crushing the Tate’, this was a reworking of an earlier work ‘Escalator’. “Escalator 2” was a comment on the relationship between the small artist-led and the larger funded public galleries, referencing the architectural detail of the Arnolfini following its lottery funded refurbishment of 2003-2005.
