Every Home Should Have One

Dimensions
45cms x 30cms x 15cms

Assemblage made from found materials comprising: screwdriver encrusted in multiple layers of household paint, galvanised steel fittings, ceramic egg cup and wooden bread board. The title has an ironical connotation and borrows from the 1970 British comedy film of the same name. Whilst working on this piece I had in mind also, Richard Hamilton's 1956 collage, titled. 'What is it that makes to-day's homes so different, so appealing?' Throughout my career, in tandem with my two dimensional work, I have made numerous constructions and assemblages, some wall hung and others free standing, as in this example.
