This 7 metre high stainless steel and stone sculpture in Exeter has eight of the 10th century riddles from the Exeter book held in the cathedral. The riddles are laser cut into the stainless steel in mirror writing, this is then read in the opposite plane of the sculpture completing a visual riddle to compliment the written riddle. The Exeter riddles were translated by Kevin Crossley Holland. The answer to the riddles are on the reverse of the spheres which are reflected onto the main sculpture.
