Existence in a Non-Dead World

'Existence In A Non-Dead World' is a visual representation of pandispositionalism, a theory within philosophy which holds that all natural properties are powerful, and are disposed towards bringing about some change in the world.

This work expresses a view of reality where nothing is passive, where the world is not a dead world of static objects. Everything that exists is, in some sense, 'alive' with potential and power, shaping what things are and what they can become.

In this photograph, the work can be seen on display as part of the Perennial exhibition, 2025, at Haarlem Art Space, Wirksworth.
