Fabric of nature - view of earthwork looking north

Spiral earthwork/garden based on stylised unfurling bud inspired by Victorian textile design and the swirling waters of the River Irwell that have twice engulfed the park in the last century. As any one of the spiral paths is walked the central seating area is revealed. Inset into the paving are etched steel and brass panels of the leaves of all the tree in the park.
