Falling, shaved carpet and timber, 3.5m x 2.5m Holden Gallery, 2018

Falling holds a worn Persian carpet in a state of temporary suspension, propped against a wall by timber beams. The structure arrests the moment before collapse without resolving it. The beams intervene, but only partially and only for now, the situation remains unstable, requiring more than what is currently holding it together.
